  1. Keith McCurdy @bangbangnyc

Keith McCurdy is a 29-year-old tattoo artist who has left a literal mark on celebrities including Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus. He’s been featured everywhere from Vogue to Rolling Stone, and for good reason. He’s crazy talented and his Instagram reflects it—he has an aesthetic that would make any inked-up Austinite feel the urge to lasso him down to Texas.

Keep it moving

Known to clients as Dr. Woo, Brian is perhaps most known for tattooing the praying hands emoji on Drake. His work is notoriously delicate and one glance at his Instagram gives you an intricate vibe. He started working in the industry at the age of 13, and typically gives stars small, minimalistic works. His wait list is rumored to be around a whopping six months.

Tea Leigh is an artist out of Brooklyn who specializes in stick and poke tattoos. Her work has incredible detail and effortlessly straight lines. The young artist claims she never wanted to be a professional, but due to a large following on Instagram, she’s now immersed in the industry. One look at her past work and it’s hard to believe that she’s self-taught.

  1. Corey Divine @coreydivine

If you like geometric tattoos, you need to follow this guy ASAP. He was drawn to the current style and varies from all black pieces to some that incorporate deep reds and purples. He’s into the idea that tattoos should cover full limbs (or torsos, backs, etc.) so much so that he regrets getting smaller tattoos in the past. His work is fantastic and it’s interesting to watch his style evolve with his tastes.

Peter is an artist working in Berlin who tends to freehand designs based off stories told by the customer. He’s also a printmaker and painter—all three of his mediums are showcased on his Instagram page. He like to keep ideas fresh, and a lot of his work is channeled from the cubism of Picasso. He takes only one appointment a day and his works are usually complete with impressively bold colors.
